Piedmont Corporate Events and Incentive Trips

When you book your event in Italy, The GastroNomad will be your single point of contact for local activities, curating your experience with our network of strong ties and partnerships with our most preferred suppliers in the region. We strive to provide an immersive experience with a white glove approach. We will work with your Corporate event planner to ensure a smooth journey.

Coupled with our experience in dealing with travel planning and unforeseen challenges in Italy, along with Margie's passion for exceeding your expectations, puts you in great hands for your memorable event in Italy. Our goal is to make your adventure unique and memorable for all attending.

Although we initially started with wine tours, we have since built a portfolio of options to cover all interests and provide alternatives for those not interested in the wine tasting activities. You can browse through an outline of options below.

The autumn is a lovely time to visit, when the wines are fermenting, the air is crisp and you can enjoy the aroma of roaring fires on the route between events. In the spring, new wines are released, vines are budding and the flora is gorgeous.

We look forward to plan your event!

Winery Visits

We absolutely love Piedmont and never tire of it. It's a hidden gem, and mostly known for the prized Barolo and Barbaresco and Barbera wines. There are also lesser known local grapes used to produce gorgeous sparkling, white and red wines, which all pair beautifully with the regional cuisines.
We can arrange visits to small hidden gems, medium size or large Estates, museums focusing on wine production and underground cathedrals focusing on sparkling wine.

Any wine-lover would appreciate the warmth and passion of the Piedmont producers, an experience not to be missed. Many  family estates are multi generations, and the history of Piedmont wine-making goes back to the Middle Ages.

Gastronomy

Piedmont boasts some of the best cuisine in Italy, is home of the Slow Food movement, and has the most Michelin star restaurants of any region. There are plenty of options from trattorias, osterias, enotecas and gourmet.  One of our clients favorites is a historic castle with a high-end restaurant.

Piedmont is famous for the prized Alba white truffle, hazelnuts, local cheeses such as Castelmagno, sausage from Bra, tender and lean Fassona beef steak and tartar, and last but not least, the majority of risotto rice grows along the Po river plains. We have curated experiences such as lunch or dinner in the gorgeous cellar of a Barolo producer, truffle hunting in the autumn months with a prized dog, food tours in Bra or Alba, and a team building cooking course.

Truffle hunting and cooking courses

Every autumn, from mid September through December, it's Alba white truffle season in Piedmont. Prized dogs are trained to hunt and sniff them out, where they grow wild around the Alba area. We can arrange a morning hunt with a guide and their specialty trained hunting dog, followed by an optional cooking course and wine pairing lunch, including dishes that are prepared the truffles.

Optionally, we can take you to a local restaurant that has multiple options for truffle dishes and other local specialties.  Some of the better pairings for truffles are homemade delicate Tajarin pasta, local Castelmagno cheese fondue with poached egg, or shaved over meats such as veal, rabbit and beef.

E-bike tours

Our e-bike guides can offer an afternoon or day of scenic rides through vineyards, and gorgeous country roads in Barolo or Barbaresco country. This can be combined with a picnic lunch and tasting in a local winery. They can also offer team building events as part of the ride.
